Meridian Shift University

Know your numbers. Keep the money. Get out of the truck. Make the shift.

You already know how to build. You've been doing it for years, for other people. This University is about the other half of the trade: the numbers that decide whether all that work turns into something you keep.

Twelve lessons. No paid subscription required. Creating an account costs nothing. No card needed. It keeps your numbers with you on any device.

01

How it works

Twelve lessons, four stages. Each lesson is short, stands on its own, and ends with one number: yours. You enter it, it saves, and the next lesson picks it up where you left it.

By the end you have twelve numbers that describe your business more honestly than any profit and loss: what it costs to stay open, what a bid has to carry, what your last job really paid, how long your cash is gone, what your debt costs you, what you pay yourself, what a field day produces, what a hire really costs, how many hours only you can do, what you can invest every month, what your first project of your own costs, and the number that makes the work optional.

02

The four stages

  1. Know Your Numbers: Overhead, Pricing, Profit and Margin
  2. Keep the Money: Cash Flow, Debt, Owner Compensation
  3. Get Out of the Truck: Production, Hiring, Business Systems
  4. Make the Shift: Asset Building, Spec Construction, Exit Strategy

Who you'll meet

Mike runs a mid-size general contracting company. He's 43 and has run his own shop since his early thirties. In every lesson he runs the numbers on his own business, so you can watch the math work all the way through before you run it on yours. The lessons are for every trade: electricians, plumbers, HVAC, roofers, painters, general contractors. Mike runs a GC company; the numbers work the same in any shop.

Cal pours concrete. Truck, some equipment, a home office. When Mike's numbers feel big, Cal's are the ones that look like yours.

Mike and Cal are made up. Their numbers are built to add up, every time.

04

What's in every lesson

  • A situation you'll recognize
  • An experiment: move the sliders and watch what happens to the money
  • Mike's example, worked all the way through
  • A short check to make sure it landed
  • Your number, saved and carried forward

The experiments never touch your saved numbers. Only "Enter Your Number" does.

One honest note

This is education: how contractors run the numbers. It isn't financial, tax, legal, or investment advice. Every business is different, and the examples run on stated assumptions, not promises. Big decisions belong to you and your CPA.
